It is common for middle school students to turn to someone when encountering somedifficulties in their daily lives.Here is a survey showing the students’turning to different people.

According to the survey,friends are the people students turn to most,accounting for 50%.Next to it is turning to relatives,about 45%.Interestingly,students seldom turn to teachers andparents,who take up only a small percentage,15%and 10%respectively.Personally,the surveymay indicate something about trust.Friends and relatives are good listeners,because they don’tjudge them and can be trusted with secrets.Given the big age difference,students don’t feel trulyunderstood by teachers and parents,especially those who are always ready to“correct”them.

Basically,who we turn to depends on us students.But I think we are supposed to turn toteachers and parents more.After all,it is they who care for us most.
