As the pandemic set in, the historians and curators(保管员) at the Archives(档案) of American Art (AAA) began doing what they do best looking through historical records They found little in formation related to the 1918 flu pandemic in their archives. and decided to make sure that future historians would have a lot more material about this time of the coronavirus. So a team at the AAA led by Liza Kirwin, set out to create a thorough record for future people.
Beginning this spring, curators and oral historians from the AAA conducted Zoom interviews with 85 artists to create the”Pandemic Oral History Project. The first /ound of interviews, which includes such artists as Ed Bereal and Sheila Hicks was released on Monday.
